WHO WE ARE
Advancing solutions for wildlife crossings and conserving wildlife corridors in western Montana
The Western Montana Wildlife Connectivity group (WMWC - formerly the Missoula Regional Connectivity Group) is a broad coalition working together to maintain an intact, connected landscape for wildlife while reducing risks to motorists in western Montana.
To accomplish this goal, we are working to develop a network of wildlife crossings in the region. By collaborating on planning, funding, and construction, the coalition is ensuring that wildlife can continue their daily and seasonal movements, thereby maintaining the ecological integrity of this cherished landscape.

WMWC participants include:
-
Non-governmental organizations (e.g., Center for Large Landscape Conservation, National Wildlife Federation, Vital Ground Foundation, Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, Defenders of Wildlife, Ninemile Wildlife Workgroup, Five Valleys Land Trust, Trout Unlimited, Hellgate Hunters and Anglers, Montana Wildlife Federation, Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership)
-
Local government entities (e.g., Missoula County, Missoula Conservation District)
